Marna Sue Rutledge Kettwich, 59, of O’Fallon, IL, born October 1, 1951 in Arthur, IL passed away September 1, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL after a courageous three year battle with cancer. Marna attended First Baptist Church of O’Fallon for the majority of her adult life. A graduate of Arthur High School in 1969, Marna continued her education at McKendree University, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Society, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1973 with a double-major in English Education and History. While at McKendree, Marna, affectionately known as Marn, met her loving husband Paul. In 1977, she earned a Master of the Arts in Counseling from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. MINONK – Allen J. Kettwich , 68, Waite Park , Minnesota, ehemals Minonk , starb am Montag ( 22. August 2011 ) zu Hause von Familie und Freunden umgeben, nach einem mutigen Kampf mit einer längeren Krankheit.
Allen hat seinen Körper der medizinischen Forschung gespendet. Spenden in Allen’s Gedenken können an Shriners Hospital for Children 2025 East River Parkway , Minneapolis, MN 55419 vorgenommen werden.
Geboren 3. Dezember 1942 , in Streator , Sohn von Orville und Freida Kettwich , lebte er in Minonk ; Rockford , Crown Point , Indiana , und Waite Park , Minnesota.  Zum Zeitpunkt seines Todes , war er als Leiter der Fertigung bei Coborn Inc. beschäftigt. Donna J. (Kettwig) Ingalls (1948-2011)

[Englisch] Funeral Mass for Donna J. (Mrs. Wayne) Ingalls, age 62, of rural Hazel, SD, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2011, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown, SD. Fr. Doug Binsfeld will officiate with Fr. Kevin O’Dell as concelebrant. Music will be provided by Becky McGillivary as organist with Leanne Giessinger as soloist. Donna passed away on Monday, March 28, 2011, at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Watertown. Honorary pallbearers will be Donna’s grandchildren: Hayden Ingalls, Lexi Ingalls, Madison Ingalls, and Karlie Ingalls. Active pallbearers will be Donna’s nephews: Tim Ingalls, Tom Ingalls, Michael Lane, Mark Lane, Ken Wangen, Chad Wangen, Clint Ingalls, and Tony Ingalls.

Visitation will be at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. with a 5:00 p.m. Scripture Wake Service. Visitation will continue on Friday prior to services at the church. The family is requested to meet at the church on Friday by 10:30 a.m. to attend the services.

Donna J. Kettwig was born July 7, 1948, in Sioux City, IA, and was raised by her parents Herman & Margaret (Lantgen) Kettwig on their family farm near Hazel, SD. She attended school in Hazel, where she graduated from high school in 1966. Following graduation, she was employed by Midland National Life Insurance Company and Minnesota Rubber in Watertown.

Donna was united in marriage to Wayne Ingalls on February 19, 1972, at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Henry, SD, where she was a lifetime member. She was a woman of deep Christian faith. Donna, along with her husband of 39 years, raised their four sons on a farm near Hazel, SD.

She was a long-time participant in Hamlin County 4-H, where she was active in showing livestock and competing in high school rodeo. She also remained involved in the 4-H club with her children. Donna loved the outdoors, gardening, raising livestock, and being able to fully devote her time and passion to what she loved the most; raising her four sons. She also enjoyed traveling, attending sporting events, and spending time with friends, neighbors, and family. After raising her children, she found joy in working with students as a substitute teacher in the Watertown School District. One of the recent highlights in her life was being able the experience the joys of being a grandma. Donna truly cherished seeing family and friends, and enjoyed being a part of their lives.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Wayne Ingalls, Hazel, SD; her mother, Margaret Kettwig, Watertown, SD; her four sons: Dwayne (Emily) Ingalls, Baltic, SD, Warren Ingalls, Minneapolis, MN, Bryan (Kaylene) Ingalls, Sioux Falls, SD, and David Ingalls, Minneapolis, MN; her grandchildren: Hayden, Lexi, Madison and Karlie Ingalls; and her extended family: Kevin Brist, Watertown, SD, Eileen Miller, Sioux Falls, SD, Barbara (David) Wibben, Oakdale, MN, Jackie (Leo) Drew, Sioux Falls, SD, James Miller, Sioux Falls, SD, and Paul Miller, Sioux Falls, SD.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Kettwig.

Clarence Kettwich (1914-2008)

[Englisch] Clarence Gerhart Kettwich, 94, Minonk, passed away at 10:35 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 9, 2008) at the Apostolic Christian Home, Roanoke.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Minonk. The Rev. Craig Swenson will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Benson. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the start of the service Saturday at the church. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk is handling the arrangements.

He was born June 27, 1914, in Minonk, a son of Henry and Phoebe Barth Kettwich. He married Elda L. Moritz on Oct. 29, 1940, in Benson. She passed away Feb. 11, 1984. He later married Lillian Harms in 1985 in Minonk. She passed away in 2002.

Survivors include two sons, Larry (Lynn) Kettwich, Lake Villa, and Donald (Sharon) Kettwich, Albuquerque, N.M.; one daughter, Jeanne Kettwich, East Peoria; one sister, Ruth Timmerman, Minonk; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Clarence was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Minonk.

Clarence farmed in the Minonk area for 50 years. After his retirement, he enjoyed doing woodworking, tinkering in his shop and bird hunting.

He was a member of the Woodford County Farm Bureau and a past member of the Minonk Sportsmen’s Club.

Lillian P. Kettwig (1919-2008)

[Englisch] Funeral services for Lillian P. Kettwig, age 89, of Watertown, SD, formerly Hazel, SD will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in the St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Watertown. Rev. Benjamin Radtke will officiate. Music will be provided by Karen Mischke as organist with congregational singing. Lillian passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at a care center in Watertown. She was the widow of Johnny Kettwig.

Burial will be in the Hazel Cemetery, Hazel, SD. Honorary pallbearers will be: Robin Risvold, Stacy Billings, Aurelia Sasse, Paula Kirton, Natalie Billo, Megan Kettwig, Anna Kettwig, Amanda Surat, Kelly Keszler, and Terra Kettwig. Active pallbearers will be: Mike Risvold, Pete Billings, Damon Sasse, Danny Kirton, Nathan Billo, Raleigh Kettwig, Jason Kettwig, Joshua Kettwig, and Trinity Surat.

Visitation will be in the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Watertown, SD on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. and prior to services at the church on Tuesday. The family is requested to meet at the church on Tuesday by 10:00 a.m. for a prayer service.

Lillian was born on April 6, 1919 at Henry, SD to Carl and Hertha (Boehnke) Lohmiller. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Henry, SD. Lillian graduated from Henry High School.

On September 30, 1940, Lillian married Johnny Kettwig at Henry, SD. The couple began farming and later ran the Hazel Café for ten years, while still farming. The couple farmed their entire life.

Lillian was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Henry for 80 years and was currently a member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. She enjoyed her grandkids and playing pinochle. Lillian’s home was open to whoever stopped. Her entire family was important to her. She enjoyed quilting and has made quilts for all her children and grandchildren.

Lillian is survived by four sons: Richard and his wife, Kay Kettwig, of Minnetrista, MN, Douglas and his wife, Carole Kettwig, of Watertown, SD, Leslie and his wife, Beverly Kettwig, of Surprise, AZ, and Leland and his wife, Bette Kettwig, of Hazel, SD; one daughter, Judy and her husband , Richard Sasse, of Sun City, AZ; one brother, LaVerne and his wife, Betty Lohmiller, of Hot Springs, SD; one sister, Alvina and her husband, Clare Reiter of Kiel, WI; two sisters-in-law, Doris Schamens of Hazel, SD and Grace Lohmiller of Custer, SD; ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny; one son, Steven; her parents; and one brother, Adolf.

Lucile Johanna Kettwich Tolan (1922-2007)

[Englisch] MINONK — Lucile Johanna Tolan, 84, Minonk, died at 5:45 a.m. Sunday (July 15, 2007) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minonk.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Minonk, with the Rev. Daniel Gansch-Boythe officiating. Burial will follow in Minonk Township Cemetery, Minonk. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to services Wednesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Minonk Ambulance; Heritage Manor Volunteers; or St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Minonk.

Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, is in charge of arrangements.

Lucile was born July 28, 1922, in Minonk, the daughter of John and Gretke Harms Kettwich. She married Lyle E. Tolan on June 22, 1941, in Minonk. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1988.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda (Norbert) Soltwedel, Shumway, and Lois (John) Freberg, Oneida; two sons, Emerson (Betty) Tolan, Minonk, and James (Barbara) Tolan, Rochelle; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, one brother and one grandson.

She was raised and educated in Minonk. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Minonk. She was a 4-H Leader for many years, and a member of the Woodford County Home Extension.

Alfred Tjark Kettwich (1918-2007)

[Englisch] Minonk- Alfred Tjark Kettwich, 88 of 116 S. Elm St., Minonk passed away at 8:05 P.M. May 25, 2007 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minonk.

He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Minonk where his funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 . Rev. Daniel Gansch-Boythe will officiate. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk.

Alfred was born July 5, 1918 in Minonk Township a son of John and Geskhe Harms Kettwich. He married Mabel M. Warnkes on July 9, 1939 at Benson. She survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Beverly (Arlen) Ruestman, Toluca; a son, Brad (Tina Whirrell) Kettwich, Eureka; a sister, Lucille Tolan, Minonk; 9 grandchildren, Brenda (Norbert) Wacker, Ken (Jocelyn) Kettwich, Laura Kitts, Kelly Adolphson, Greg Ruestman, Paul (Katie) Kettwich, Richard (Kristin) Kettwich, Bruce Kettwich and Robert Kettwich; 9 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Everett and Glenn, and a grandson, Brian Kettwich; and two sisters, Alice Uphoff and Marie Krug.

Alfred was a longtime farmer and an avid outdoors man. He truly enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing. He was a former member of the Woodford County Farm Bureau and a 4-H leader. Memorial contributions may be directed to Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minonk of the Communities of Maple Lawn, Eureka.
