WHITEWATER (Wisconsin) — Robert A. Kettwig, 86, of Whitewater, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, at Ft. Memorial Health Services in Ft. Atkinson, WI. He was born in Waterloo, IA, on Oct. 2, 1918, the son of Oliver and Minnie (Yungmann) Kettwig. He married Jane E. Graham in Whitewater on Dec. 24, 1939; she preceded him in death on March 2, 1990. He was a member of the American Legion Post #173 in Whitewater and a past member of the Whitewater School Board. He owned and operated a paint and wallpaper store.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Mary (Wally) Goeglein of Whitewater and Estelle (Michael) Villwock of Tacoma, WA; 2 sons, Thomas (Toni) Kettwig of Poinciana, FL, and Dan (Katherine) Kettwig of Port Orchard, WA; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Mary) Kettwig of Janesville; and 2 sisters, Joyce (Don) Simon and Marianne (Jerry) Steck, both of Whitewater. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Richard Kettwig. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the OLSEN FUNERAL HOME in Whitewater. Graveside services will then be held at the Hillside Cemetery in Whitewater with Military Honors.
